Step by Step, Paso a Paso is dedicated to hiring nurturing teachers who understand the stages of child development, have a strong understanding of children, are educated in the field of child education, and have a passion for working and inspiring children. The welfare of your child is of utmost importance. At Step by Step, Paso a Paso, we are trained in CPR and First Aid to ensure each child's safety. Continuous staff training is provided through educational workshops, classes, and seminars to maintain the highest standard of education for the children in our program.

I have been in the teaching field for fifteen years. My educational career started as an Assistance Kindergarten Teacher helping start a Spanish Immersion Program for the Burlingame School District. From there, in 2008, I founded my own preschool, Step by Step, Paso a Paso.

I acquired a Masters Degree in Education with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction from Notre Dame de Namur University. My thesis paper focused on researching the best method to acquire a second language at a pre-school age. I attended San Francisco State University and received a degree in Liberal Studies. Additionally, I have taken many early childhood education courses and seminars to stay informed about new educational methodologies. I believe that continuous education for myself is the key to educating my students. I am truly passionate about what I do and want nothing more than to see a child succeed and have a good sense of self-concept towards themselves and towards their learning.

My teaching philosophy is simple- I truly believe that a balance of play-based, academics, and nurturing the whole child is key to supporting a child's curiosity and promoting a happy child.

I am dedicated to the success of the children in my program and I am confident that they will succeed!
