Learning Beyond the Classroom
Step by Step, Paso a Paso offers enrichment sessions designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning in children of all ages. Our small-group classes are held at our Granite Bay and El Dorado Hills locations and are open to the public.
Letters
TK & Kinder · Monday 1:30–2:45 pmBuilds early literacy skills through engaging circle time and hands-on projects. Each session focuses on letter recognition, proper letter formation, phonics, and beginning sound awareness — the perfect foundation for Kindergarten readiness.
Fine Motor Skills on the Farm
TK & Kinder · Tuesday 1:30–2:45 pmGet your hands dirty and your fingers moving! This class takes little learners outside to our farm setting for hands-on fine motor skill development. Through scooping, planting, threading, and animal care, children build the finger strength and coordination they need for writing and everyday life.
Numbers — Let’s Get Counting
TK & Kinder · Wednesday 1:30–2:45 pmEach session blends circle time with hands-on projects so numbers come alive in a meaningful and fun way. We focus on number recognition, counting confidence, and early math concepts, the perfect foundation for Kindergarten!
Little Scientist
TK & Kinder · Thursday 1:30–2:45 pmA hands-on science class that encourages curiosity, exploration, and discovery through age-appropriate experiments. Children explore the world through sensory activities, nature studies, simple STEM challenges, and exciting science projects that build observation, prediction, and problem-solving skills.
Social & Emotional Learning Through Process Art
TK & Kinder · Friday 1:30–2:45 pmThis class nurtures children’s social and emotional development through open-ended art experiences. Through painting, creating, storytelling, and self-expression, children learn to identify feelings, build confidence, practice kindness, and develop problem-solving skills in a supportive environment.
Readers Club
TK & Kinder · Monday 2:45–4:00 pmBuild a love of reading through shared stories, cozy read-alouds, and simple activities that bring books to life. Each week we explore a new picture book and practice listening, comprehension, and early literacy skills in a fun, low-pressure setting.
Mini Makers
TK & Kinder · Tuesday 2:45–4:00 pmA hands-on building and tinkering class where little inventors explore simple engineering challenges using everyday materials. Students design, build, problem-solve, and try again — developing creativity, fine motor skills, and a maker mindset.
Tiny Artist Studio
TK & Kinder · Wednesday 2:45–4:00 pmAn open-ended art class where children explore different materials and techniques each week — paint, collage, drawing, and mixed media. The focus is on process over product, self-expression, and the joy of creating.
Global Explorers
TK & Kinder · Thursday 2:45–4:00 pmTravel the world without leaving the classroom! Each week we explore a different country through stories, music, food, crafts, and traditions. Children develop curiosity, empathy, and an appreciation for cultures around the world.
Garden Club
TK & Kinder · Friday 2:45–4:00 pmGet your hands in the dirt! Students plant, water, harvest, and care for our garden while learning about nature, seasons, and where food comes from. A perfect blend of outdoor exploration and life skills.
Storybook Art
TK – 1st Grade · Monday 4:15–5:30 pmCelebrates the beauty of each season through picture books, hands-on art, and nature-inspired creativity. Each class begins with a story introducing seasonal vocabulary, colors, and textures. Children explore watercolor, texture collages, and nature prints — building fine motor skills and early language development.
Spanish Class — ¡Let’s Learn Español!
TK – 1st Grade · Tuesday 4:15–5:30 pmA fun and immersive Spanish experience! Students learn conversational Spanish through vocabulary, songs, and hands-on crafts. This is a full immersion class — the teacher speaks only in Spanish. Our goal is to make learning Spanish fun!
Spanish Art Class — ¡Let’s Learn Español!
Kinder – 2nd Grade · Wednesday 4:15–5:30 pmA fun, hands-on art class where students explore painting, drawing, and clay while being fully immersed in Spanish. Open-ended projects spark imagination and creativity while developing artistic techniques, fine motor skills, and self-confidence — all in Spanish!
Let’s Get Lost in a Book — On the Farm!
3rd & 4th Grade · Thursday 4:15–5:30 pmGet lost in Charlotte’s Web! Each week we discuss chapters together and bring the story to life through hands-on activities. The best part? You’ll get to meet our very own pig, Charlotte, and interact with all our farm animals — making every session a truly magical experience.
Project Impact — Leadership Class
High School · Friday 4:15–5:30 pmProject Impact takes students from curiosity to action. Students learn about the community of Kalongo, Uganda, where families survive on just $1 a day, and take on the real challenge of researching needs, planning a campaign, and raising funds to help. Alongside university students and their partner school, St. Bakhita Vocational Training Center in Uganda, they develop the empathy, communication, public speaking, and project planning skills that prepare them to lead with purpose.
Weekly Class Schedule
Classes meet weekly throughout each 6-week session. Three time slots are offered at both locations: 1:30–2:45 pm, 2:45–4:00 pm, and 4:15–5:30 pm.

Classes run in 6-week sessions at our El Dorado Hills and Granite Bay locations. Spots are limited — contact us to reserve your child’s spot.
Classes are offered Mon–Fri at three time slots: 1:30–2:45 pm, 2:45–4:00 pm, and 4:15–5:30 pm at both El Dorado Hills and Granite Bay.
